In class today, as we were going through a step circuit class using cybex machines for lower body strength training segments, we began chatting about the "hatred zone" --the zone where it's hard, it's sweaty, and you really just do not like it--this is the time when you just rather quit then go on---we called it the "hatred zone"---one of my clients who had recently been there, argreed- it is the point right before the break-through mentally and physically---I can not figure out if the mental helps us through the physical or vice versa--but I know it IS in this "hatred period" that many people QUIT.
Being wet and sweaty takes a bit of time to get used to. Working at a little more challenging level requires a bit more "umph." It is in this hard time that the body and mind starts to change--if we do not quit--and we get through this period--whoaaaaa--the other side is sooo awesome. We feel our muscles get stronger--we watch ourselves pick up the pace and feel good about it---the sweat rolls down us like an insta-shower and we know in that moment real true progress has been made. Ya just gotta get through the "hatred period."
Yes I will do whatever it takes to help you, to help myself through these periods where we challenge our minds and bodies and hate it as we may--we get through it with a million YES DEE's ---SWEATING IS A GOOD THING----EXERCISE WORKS----WE LOVE IT--WE KNOW IT--- on the other side--baby it is flipping GRAND as the Grand Canyon and MORE! Honest! Ya gotta go there!
