The perfect food-- well maybe----I am always chanting "move your body" move your mind--we all know health and fitness are about healthier choices across the board! Here's a few tidbits about the wonderfully bodacious banana from US Food and Drug Administration:
1) Research has shown 2 banana's provide enough energy for a pretty heavy 90 minutes worth of workout---
2) High in Iron, they can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and this helps in cases of anemia
3) PMS beware--vitamin B6 in banana's helps regulate blood glucose which can affect moods--
4) Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) sufferers check it out---banana's can help you because they contain the natural mood enhancer, trypotophan
I could go on and on, but you get the picture--the banana is a great daily food addition--so get peelin'
Don't like the taste of banana's-? Freeze them (after peeling) and toss 1/2 in with other fresh frozen fruit like pineapple, or strawberries with a little ice, or yogurt and make a shake in your blender--the strawberries and/or pineapple should over power the banana taste while you still get the B.
