Happy End of Summer or is it happy school is starting back up? Even happy almost fall season! I trust you have checked out the NEW "works in progress" section on the website!
Hats off to Mary and Jenny!
There will be more real people in this section in the future! I remind members and clients that fat loss and inches lost is great-but they are really side benefits to a healthier life style! Mary has lost over 30 inches and Jenny has lost over 44 inches. You may notice neither of them really mentioned pounds or inches, just how they felt so much better and truly have enhanced their quality of life. We will feature others who have wonderful progress in other area's not necessarily related to pounds or inches.
It is important to put the emphasis on the effort with regard to increasing our activity and making healthier choices. The key is to work on one behavior at a time. Need to get active, then just work on that until the behavior becomes a habit. Going gangbusters on second and third helpings?-- just work on one helping per food item (unless it's salad or fruit-I allow myself seconds on those). Need to get your water intake going? Then just work on drinking more water! I do not recommend working on all the previously mentions at the same time.
That's overloading your brain and ups the anty on your progress turning to regress!
Pick one thing and work on that only! Let me know what one thing you are working on!
September 1 is good date to start! Work on that one thing just for the month of September and let me know how you are doing! I will keep track of who and what it is you are working on and we'll chat about these either one on one or in general on our toodles page! My one thing to work on will be not eating heavy foods after 8 pm (in other words even when I teach until 8:30 pm when I get home if I missed dinner I will have a salad or fruit not meat and potatoes-full meal).
