CORE FITNESS CLUB WILL BE OPEN FOR YOU BEGINNING MONDAY AUGUST 15TH! THE FORMER BALLY'S OFF MC COY BY THE MALL WILL OFFER FREE CLASSES THROUGH THE END OF SEPTEMBER.

I AM TEACHING THE FOLLOWING CLASSES:

MONDAY AND THURSDAYS 10 AM - ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION PACE LAND CLASS --CORE IS A SANCTIONED SITE TO OFFER THESE FABULOUS CLASSES ON LAND! WORKOUTS INCLUDE: RANGE OF MOTION, STRENGTH AND CARDIO IN A GENTLE-FUN-GO AT YOUR SPEED-ATMOSPHERE. COME CHECK IT OUT!

WEDNESDAYS 10 AM-- BEGIN TO SPIN--THIS IS A FANTASTIC INTRO TO GROUP INDOOR CYCLING--REVAMPED BY YOURS TRULY WITH AN EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT SO YOU LEARN THE BEHIND THE SCENES REASONING FOR ESTABLISHING TRAINING ZONES AND USING PERCEIVED EXERTION. THERE IS NO EXTRA COST FOR THE HANDOUT AND EDUCATIONAL PORTION OF THE CLASS. THE WORKOUT WILL INCLUDE APPROX. 20 MINUTES ON THE BIKES, "CORE" TRUNK STRENGTHENING WITH PROPER WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN! YOUR BODY WILL LOVE IT!

Happy August All! Summer truly is slipping by so fast --blink and it will be fall!

Got an idea for couple of great features and have presented them to our local paper which seems interested. First topic is "Fighting Fat" where we follow a regular person's journey over the course of weeks or maybe months-and document their emotional, physical and mental processes about diet, exercise, and the sometimes vicious mind games we play on ourselves, our self- esteem, our body image.

The next topic is the flip side of the "supersize me" documentary where the movie producer eats only fast food for a month and tracks his negative health results. Our take on this, is to show the other side-- it really is not fast food, it is OUR choices when we drive up to the fast food place. I would love you input on which angle to really look at and YES I will be the guinea pig for this one!

Should the focus be on exercising no matter what fast food choice made to show that exercise really makes the difference --- or ----- do we just stick to making healthier fast food choices and track numbers to show there's 2 sides to the "supersize me" coin? (disproving the theory that fast food makes you fat and unhealthy--it is OUR personal choices--that makes us one way or the other).

It would have been very interesting to have had the producer eat like he did for that month and add minimum exercise requirements regardless of what he ate. I am betting his blood lipid numbers might have not been so negative?

So tell me what you think? Which angle do you think we should take? What makes a more compelling statement? I can not wait to hear from you! Yes --I will keep all the numbers on the table once we begin this project no padding or puffing! Let me know what you think!?? Keep moving! Love, Dee
