One habit at a time--one habit at a time--did I mention-- key to lifestyle change = working on one habit at a time? TRUE! TO YOU!
Either adding a new healthy habit or doing away with an unhealthy old habit. Notice I did not say work on both at the same time. Positive reinforcement always sticks better than negative. So add one new healthy habit, you might notice the old sort of subtly gets replaced. Actually I should have said, add new healthy behavior, and then stay on it until it becomes a habit. Key point in all this "mind movin' " stuff is -- we believe what is familiar--true or not--good or bad--so to take any thing positive and "own it" we must repeat, bombard, repeat and again the new message, the new behavior, (whatever the case may be) until it becomes familiar---when we get there--a habit is born and will thrive. It really works! All we have to do is TRY. And in our New Face of Fitness World--hey baby!!! TRYING IS SUCCEEDING! TWO AREAS TO BEGIN WITH ? WORKOUT AND DRINK WATER! DRINK WATER AND COME TO CLASS. Looking forward to our official opening week of classes, with lots of fun and safe exercises good for the body and the brain. Yes I said the "E" word--it is not a four letter word and though it typically sends not-so-hot vibes, truly exercise at any size (when we listen to our bodies) renews our energy, helps us sleep more sound, enhances our ability to deal with stress and makes our heart and muscles stronger. May I just say how fabulous our first kick off class was- half class former members and half new faces-like a school reunion of sorts--
It's not about how old we are, what size we are, whether our arms move with our legs or not--whether we ever took dance class or ever wore leotards-- PEOPLE- ya don't have to wear a thong to belong! Fitness and well -being is for EVERY body! Wednesday 5-19-10 class at 7:00 pm will be circuit format with lots of options. In next couple weeks I will be adding classes to accomodate the demand!
